Business policy
The business policy of Rodby is to develop, manufacture
and sell ergo meter bicycles, treadmills and custom-built treadmills for
professional rehabilitation and training purposes:

History
The company was founded by Hakan Rodby 1980. After that Hakan had started up and worked with service on ergo meter bicycles for 15 years at the company Medical Aperture AB, he bought the rights to the product Ergo meter Bicycles and the name Medical Aperture AB, and the production proceeded under the name of Rodby El AB.
The developing work on the products has continued throughout the years, parallel to the production, and here you can see some examples of bigger changes, improvements and steps in the technical progress:

Karolinska Hospital, with RE900, successfully

RE990 was developed in co-operation with Technical University of

name of the company was changed to Rodby Innovation AB |

first custom-built treadmill was developed for Norwegian
University of Sports |

University of Orebro and Boson was our first Swedish customers of
custom-built treadmills |

2002
the company moved to Uppsala. Business policy remains unchanged. |
Nowadays, the methods of training have been more and more sophisticated among the athletes. Therefore our products have come to extended use for athletes, when they want to make repeated exact measurements, with fully comparable results, to be able to verify improved results of their training.
Hakan Rodby left his leadership of the company to Owe Oberg in year 2002, but the spirit of Hakan remains in the company, because he still has a supporting position in Rodby Innovation AB.
Many years of experience from developing and manufacturing equipments for rehabilitation has given Rodby a very good reputation in this particularly field! You may ask for references.
